How the simulator interprets PCR

The app searches both DNA strands. A valid product requires two primers facing each other on opposite strands. Amplicon length is calculated from the outer primer binding positions. This is a teaching simulator and does not evaluate melting temperature, primer dimers, mismatches, salt concentration, or polymerase-specific conditions.
